BCANDS provides programs and services to eligible clients and organizations both within Indigenous communities and in urban and rural centres. These include the Indigenous Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) Navigator program, Indigenous Disability Case Management, employment and accessibility programs, monitoring the Convention on the Rights for Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Jordan\u2019s Principle and adjudicating First Nations Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Benefit applications.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcands.bc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to visit the BCANDS website.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>BC People First<\/h2>\n<p>The BC People First Society (BCPF) is a non-profit provincial organization that is part of a national movement. BCPF works to make sure that people with a developmental disability are respected and included in communities as full citizens.\u00a0 Their vision is a diverse community where all people are: included and involved; honoured and respected; seen for their abilities, and supported to participate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcpeoplefirst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to visit the BC People First website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Disability Alliance BC<\/h2>\n<p>Disability Alliance BC is a provincial, cross-disability voice in British Columbia. Their mission is to support people with all disabilities, to live with dignity, independence and as equal and full participants in the community. They champion issues impacting the lives of people with disabilities through their direct services, community partnerships, advocacy, research and publications.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/disabilityalliancebc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to visit the Disability Alliance BC website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Family Support Institute (FSI)<\/h2>\n<p>The purpose of the Family Support Institute of BC is to strengthen, connect and build communities and resources with families of people with disabilities in BC.\u00a0 The organization believes that families are the best resource available to support one another. Directed by families, the Family Support Institute provides information, training, and province-wide networking to assist families and their communities to build upon and share their strengths.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/familysupportbc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to visit the Family Support Institute website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Family Support Institute also administers findSupport BC, a comprehensive and searchable online disability resource database.
